Laparoscopic myomectomy

Laparoscopic myomectomy

Laparoscopic myomectomy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to remove fibroids (also known as myomas) from the uterus. Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that develop in the muscular wall of the uterus and can cause symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, urinary problems, and fertility issues. Unlike a hysterectomy, which involves removing the entire uterus, a myomectomy removes only the fibroids, preserving the uterus for women who wish to retain their fertility.
