Arachnoid cysts

Arachnoid cysts are fluid-filled sacs that form in the arachnoid layer of the brain or spinal cord. The arachnoid is one of the three layers of tissue (meninges) that cover and protect the brain and spinal cord. These cysts are typically benign (non-cancerous) and are often discovered incidentally during imaging tests like CT scans or MRIs, as they may not cause symptoms.
