Hydrocephalus

Hydrocephalus is a condition characterised by the accumulation of excess cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) within the brain's ventricles (fluid-filled cavities). This build-up of fluid causes increased pressure on the brain, which can lead to brain damage if left untreated. Hydrocephalus can occur at any age but is most commonly seen in infants and older adults.
