Adrenalectomy

Adrenalectomy is a surgical procedure in which one or both of the adrenal glands are removed. The adrenal glands are small, triangular-shaped organs located on top of each kidney. They produce important hormones, including adrenaline, cortisol, aldosterone, and sex hormones, which regulate a variety of bodily functions such as metabolism, stress response, blood pressure, and salt balance.
