A Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA)

A Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA)

A Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA) insertion is a surgical procedure used to treat individuals with conductive hearing loss, mixed hearing loss, or single-sided deafness who do not benefit from traditional hearing aids. Unlike regular hearing aids that amplify sound through the ear canal, a BAHA works by bypassing the outer and middle ear and directly stimulating the cochlea (the inner ear) through the skull bone.
