Adenoid removal

Adenoid removal, also known as an adenoidectomy, is a surgical procedure to remove the adenoids. The adenoids are small masses of lymphatic tissue located at the back of the nasal cavity, above the roof of the mouth. They are part of the immune system and help fight infections, especially during childhood. However, they can sometimes cause health problems if they become enlarged or chronically infected.
