Curettage and cautery

Curettage and cautery are combined procedures used to treat abnormal tissue. Curettage involves scraping out tissue with a curette to remove growths or lesions. Cautery uses heat or chemicals to destroy tissue, stop bleeding, or prevent infection. Together, they are often used in dermatological procedures to remove skin lesions or precancerous cells while controlling bleeding and reducing the risk of infection.
