Botulinum toxin injections

Botulinum toxin injections are medical treatments that involve the injection of a purified form of botulinum toxin, a neurotoxin produced by Clostridium botulinum bacteria. The most commonly known form of this toxin is Botox, but there are other formulations such as Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau. These injections are used to treat a variety of medical and cosmetic conditions by temporarily blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contraction.
