Coronary heart disease is the most common cause of premature death in the UK.
Knowing how healthy our heart is and understanding any issues as soon as possible is the best way of preventing disease. If you are concerned about your heart or have a family history of heart disease we offer the opportunity to have your risk of developing heart disease assessed.
The CaRi-Heart® Health Check, using AI Technology, provides a comprehensive cardiac health assessment. Combining measurements of coronary artery inflammation with other clinical risk factors, the check can accurately predict an individual's risk of heart attack - years in advance.
CaRi-Heart® - developed by Caristo Diagnostics and based on research funded by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) brings together AI-derived information to assess an individual's heart health. The service is offered in partnership with specialists at Heart & Lung Health.
All CaRi-Heart® Checks are followed up with a detailed virtual consultation and fully comprehensive report.
A clinical referral is required for the CaRi-Heart® Check. The referring clinician will usually be your consultant cardiologist or doctor.

Dr Jonathan Rodrigues: Heart and Lung Checks
A short film with consultant radiologist, Dr Jonathan Rodrigues describing the new heart and lung scanning technology used at St Jospeh's Hospital in South Wales. Conventional heart and lung CT scans are analysed using artificial intelligence based software to give diagnostic results not available by the consultants looking at them on their own. Key is that the system gives quantifiable early diagnosis of both lung nodules and coronary artery inflammation.
