The independent hospital acknowledged for its supportive and compassionate care, has announced it will benefit from a further £4.2m investment during its 75th anniversary year. The third part of a phased process, the investment will fund a new state-of-the-art GE X-Ray machine for the Advanced Diagnostic Centre as well as extensive upgrading and refurbishment work, which will see the hospital reducing activity over Christmas to minimise any disruption

St Joseph’s Hospital in Newport is celebrating 109,564 appointments since the hospital re-launched in October 2015. The figure is a 52% increase on the previous two years, which saw just under 72,000 patients make appointments at the leading private facility. After coming under new ownership in 2014, St Joseph’s Hospital underwent an extensive multi-million-pound refurbishment, which took nearly two years to complete and saw the creation of 13 Centres of Excellence and the introduction of new state-of-the-art equipment
