Professional bio
Mr Ellul studied in Cardiff University to gain his MBBCh in Medicine and Surgery. He completed his medical rotations in Hospitals across South Wales. During his general surgical training he completed an MSc in Advanced Surgical Practice, writing a dissertation on diagnostic techniques for prostate cancer, before embarking on Specialist Urology Training in South Wales.
Mr Ellul works as an NHS Urology Consultant in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Healthboard, where he is the clinical lead for benign prostate conditions. He has implemented minimally invasive surgical techniques including prostatic urethral lift (Urolift) and introduced Holmium laser enucleation of Prostate (HoLEP) to the Healthboard.
Mr Ellul treats a spectrum of general urological conditions including prostatic problems (both benign and cancerous), Urinary tract stones, penile and scrotal lesions, vasectomy, as well as Urinary Tract infections.
