Professional bio
I graduated from Cardiff University with a 1st class Honours degree in Physiotherapy, and since then have been working primarily in the musculoskeletal and sports sector. I joined St Josephs in 2017 and have subsequently developed a special interest in the lower limb, especially post-operative Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) rehabilitation. I have completed a post graduate qualification in Acupuncture, and am currently undertaking a Masters qualification in Sports Physiotherapy from the University of Bath. Alongside my role at St Josephs I am the Lead Physiotherapist for the Senior Women’s Welsh Hockey squad, and support Crosskeys RFC. I have previously worked with the Dragons Rugby age group set up, Badminton Wales, as a soft tissue practitioner for Sport Wales (able-bodied and disabled athletes), and a host of other professional and semi-professional Rugby Union and League teams in south Wales. This wide ranging experience has given me a depth of knowledge around acute management of injuries, and rehabilitation of these thereafter.
I was previously heavily involved with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy as a representative on the Welsh Board, alongside being the Chairman for the student physiotherapy population in the South West of England and Wales, subsequently holding a seat on the Student Executive Committee for the UK.
