Ioannis holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Central Greece, where he graduated as valedictorian and received the Award of Excellence from the Hellenic Scientific Society of Physical Therapy (2014).

Following his studies, Ioannis completed his national service in the Greek Armed Forces. After fulfilling his military duties, he began lecturing in both private and public institutions, educating physiotherapy assistants. He then relocated to the UK to further his education at Cardiff University.

In 2018, Ioannis earned a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, with a specialization in the behaviors of patients with lower back pain. His research emphasized the biopsychosocial model of care, providing him with an advanced understanding of the complexities of pain management and patient behavior.

In 2022, Ioannis became the first physiotherapist in the UK to receive the prestigious European Diploma in Pain Physiotherapy, awarded by the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP). This qualification enhanced his expertise in treating a wide range of pain conditions, establishing him as a pain specialist.

Ioannis is also deeply engaged in pain research, particularly in persistent spinal pain and fibromyalgia. He has attended several leading European pain schools, refining his skills in cutting-edge pain management techniques. Alongside his clinical work, he actively trains fellow physiotherapists in managing pain and spinal disorders, sharing his expertise in modern therapeutic approaches to chronic pain.
