Miss Madhu Kolli is currently a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and performing operating lists and clinics at Royal Gwent Hospital and Grange University Hospital
Miss Kolli has 6 years of experience as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and qualified in 2000 from the NTR University of Health Sciences in Andhra Pradesh, India. After obtaining a postgraduate diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, she moved to the UK in 2004. Miss Kolli completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and gynaecology within the Wales Deanery. She has completed advanced training in Benign abdominal surgery (both open and laparoscopic), early pregnancy and emergency gynaecology. Miss Kolli also have a postgraduate certificate in Gynaecological Ultrasound from Cardiff University.
Miss Kolli's areas of special interests include management of heavy periods, menstrual bleeding problems, fibroids and chronic pelvic pain. She provides surgical management through minimally invasive and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, complex open abdominal surgery, Hysteroscopic procedures – both outpatient and day case procedures. Miss Kolli is keen on providing a one stop approach to abnormal uterine bleeding by providing ultrasound assessment and outpatient hysteroscopy.
Miss Kolli enjoys teaching medical students, and junior doctors and is an educational supervisor for specialist trainees in Wales, with her areas of teaching including transvaginal ultrasound, abdominal and minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery, emergency gynaecology. She also held an adjunct academic status as Senior Lecturer at Flinders University, Australia.
