Kathryn is an experienced, skilled and driven member of the clinical physiotherapy team. After completing the highly challenging accelerated physiotherapy course at Cardiff University in 2008, Kath went on to obtain a physiotherapy position within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board where she spent over 6 years completing rotations in all core aspects of physiotherapy, specialising in musculoskeletal outpatients.

As an extremely proactive individual over the past few years Kath has completed her master’s qualification Physiotherapy where she is relished the opportunity to further advance her clinical knowledge and skills; enhancing her effectiveness as a clinician.

Since 2020 Kath has been the physiotherapy service Lead, responsible for the service provision of physiotherapy throughout the organisation. Utilising her strong leadership skills and dedication to clinical excellence has seen the service go from strength to strength. 

Kath has many years’ experiences of managing acute sporting injuries, holding the lead physiotherapist post at Crosskeys RFC throughout seasons 2011 – 2018 and seeing them through their most successful season in 2013. The association with the club allowed her to establish important links with local orthopaedic consultants and develop a special interest in the diagnosis, treatment and management of sports injuries and tendon pain.

Kathryn has a keen interest in treating acute and chronic orthopaedic traumatic injuries, following the patient from point of injury or surgery all the way to full recovery and return to function, no matter what the patient’s goal may be.
