I trained at the Bath School of Physiotherapy, graduating in 1995. Since qualifying I have worked in the NHS and private sector in a variety of settings. During this time I have gained extensive experience which has enabled me to develop my expertise in orthopaedic rehabilitation and provide a specialist level of care for patients on the ward following surgery and other procedures. At St Joseph’s Hospital we are lucky enough to have access to a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pool that helps patients begin and progress their rehabilitation. After completing further training in hydrotherapy, I have been able to utilise these skills and practical knowledge to successfully treat patients in the pool.
I believe that all patients deserve a comprehensive, quality approach to their care and aim to help them achieve all goals, both big and small. This starts right at the beginning of the patients’ journey in being able to spend the time to find out what is important to each individual.
Since retiring from playing hockey my time is now occupied spending time with my family, watching sport and reading. I have two young sons who are very enthusiastic footballers and as a family we enjoy walking, camping and anything that involves mud!
