Department: Advanced Diagnostics
Hours: 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 8am-8pm, including weekend working.
Salary: £25,120 per annum
Responsible to: Advanced Diagnostics Admin Team Lead
Job Summary
To provide reception and clerical support for Administration Services across the Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
As an Administrator at St Joseph’s Hospital, you will:
• Provide a first class and effective service to patients, visitors, consultants, team colleagues and all internal departments.
• Deal with inbound telephone and email enquiries and process as necessary, ensuring messages are passed correctly and confidentially.
• Ensure that any voicemail messages are dealt with, and calls returned on the same working day.
• Deal with referrals from GP practices, medical secretaries and other referrers, both in hard and soft copy, and via referrers' portals.
• Process referrals to other areas of the hospital where required.
• Work confidently with the Hospital's Patient Information System to book appointments for patients, setup and manage clinics for clinicians and record patient outcomes.
• Provide administrative assistance to clinical departments including the preparation and management of clinical lists and medical records.

Essential
• Good clerical skills - Fully computer literate.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Evidence of delivering a high level of customer service.
• Maths and English GCSE.
• Proven ability to work on own initiative.
• Evidence of ability to work under pressure.
• Confidentiality.
Desirable
• Experience in a healthcare environment and working with patients.
• Proven ability to communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including patients, staff-members, visitors, suppliers and environmental health.
