Our attractive entrance, with a paved walkway and comfortable seating areas, is designed to make patients feel welcome and at ease during their visit. St Joseph’s Hospital is set in spacious grounds, and we take great pride in the quality of our gardens maintained by our estates team. 

St Joseph’s Hospital has two principal theatres which Laminar Flow theatres capable of supporting complex surgery, along with a Day Surgery Unit theatre designed to support less complex procedures. A modern purpose-designed fourth theatre is our endoscopy suite.

Adjacent to the hospital is our modern physiotherapy centre offering advanced levels of treatment and rehabilitation.  Accessible to both patients of the hospital and the general public, the facilities include a spacious gym area and Pilates studio, six private treatment rooms, hydrotherapy pool and advanced rehabilitation equipment, such as the Alter-G antigravity treadmill. Our large hydrotherapy pool, allowing tailored rehabilitation in warm water, is unique and provides users with one of the best equipped facilities in the region.

Our on-site pharmacy can supply patients with prescriptions received at the hospital. The pharmacy supplies medicines to every clinical department in the hospital doing daily ward and theatre rounds. The pharmacy team ensure patients are comfortable with their dispensed medication before discharge and offer an aftercare telephone service for any medicine related queries following treatment.
