Stroke assessment includes Transient ischaemic attack (TIA) management, rehabilitation and stroke prevention. To determine the most appropriate treatment your consultant will need to evaluate the type of stroke you may have had and the areas of your brain affected.

Several test may be used to determine your risk of stroke including, physical examination, blood tests, computerized tomography (CT) scan, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), carotid ultrasound and echocardiogram.
