St Joseph’s Hospital get ready for the St David’s Newport Half Marathon

The St David’s Newport Half Marathon is soon approaching, taking place on Sunday 5th March! Celebrating its 10 year anniversary, the race is set to be a fantastic event raising funds for the hospice. St Joseph’s hospital have supported the event every year since it began and are proud to still be supporting the event and raising money for a cause close to their hearts.

St Joseph’s hospital have a team of runners taking part, along with supporters cheering them on along the way. As the race fast approaches, training is in full swing as some of the team members get ready to run their first half marathon. A challenge for all taking part, its known that the atmosphere on the day will be sure to encourage the runners over the finish line.

Event Director at St David’s Hospice Care, Christine Vorres, commented, “It’s wonderful to have St Joseph’s Hospital with us once again. They have been with us at every event over the last 10 years, and their support means a lot to us. We feel it’s important for the community to work together and we appreciate St Joseph’s Hospital standing by us, helping the charity to raise vital funds for hospice care, and also, enhancing the experience for all our runners on the day. We are very grateful for their generous sponsorship.”
